Three years ago a group of six friends started meeting in a church hall on Thursday evenings to sing. Today the Riverside Community Choir has 200 members, a professional conductor, and last month signed a recording deal with an independent label.
"Music is the great equaliser," says founder Margaret Jones. "We have retired teachers singing next to teenagers. We have people who came to us in their darkest moments and found something to hold onto."
Catch them performing live in the studio next Thursday.
